Our Next Manager

Attilio

Recommended Posts

Our next manager, after NM, will hopefully be a good few years down the line.  Whoever it is though, can I be the first to say that whoever it is, he is/was the wrong man for the job and we should have gone for someone else although I had no idea who that other person was at the time.  If things do indeed go tits up with this new manager, I'll be straight on here to remind you I told you so but if this new manager proves to be a success I can revel in the glory of our success knowing that no one will remember this original post in the first place.

I said at the time I thought it was the wrong appointment and am certainly not revelling in it now. I said at the time we needed and experienced manager, OK I didn't have a name, but the team is definitely showing why the appointment was wrong - not the manager as a person, his signings, personnel etc. but his lack of experience in forming a group into a team is there for all to see.

Very uncharacteristically poor post from you.

Tommy Wright. Staring Nelms in the face.

NM was an astonishing choice

Tommy Wright would never have left St.Johnstone for Dundee i wouldnt have thought ?

Jim Duffy wouldve been a good choice if we had went for experience.

I don't think you were mentioned PB, it seems to have struck a nerve though.....

There are always some who seem desperate to tell us how right THEY were when inevitably down the line things go wrong/not as well as blindly hoped for etc. I cringe when I see that kind of post myself so I can get where Attilio is coming from. What ever spins peoples assorted propellers though I guess.

I'd posted on another thread this morning that I said at the time it was not the right appointment. I read this OP as a dig at me.

can we not give the guy a bit of time first before condemning him as a bad choice or thinking about or next manager ..

He inherited a pile of S#%TE as far as I'm concerned ... A squad of at best average or maybe decent footballers  and nowhere near good enough in the case of one or two others.. Low, Ross , Vincent , Hateley, Wiliams all spring to mind who needed shipped out and replaced with better quality and MOST have .

I still scaratch my head at Hartley for example hading Williams a 3 year deal .. A winger who cant beat a man , doesn't score goals , doesn't deliver crosses and whos first thought when getting te ball is to take a touch then turn and pass it to the full back !!

NM signings already look far superior to what we brought in last pre season and we look aa far better more balanced side .

Deacon , Kamara, Hendry & Allen  in particular look very good and they will only get better .

Lets give it a bit of time and see if he starts getting results its very early days .
