I would honestly consider him a downgrade on Jim. An expensive downgrade.

I suspect everyone in Dingwall will look back in May shaking their heads at his departure.

Something happened behind closed doors. I suspect it went like this....

McGregor - Why are we losing games after we sold Irvine and Boyce?

Jim - Duhhhhhhhhhhh

Interesting appointment. Despite what their owner said the other night I suspect they had him lined up well before Macintyre got the sack.

Coyle won't be going there on the cheap. He will have been promised a decent budget to get them up the league.

In total agreement there ...

Of course, he widnae be the first chairman to have this kind of arrangement all weel sorted out.

Siill, he might have given McIntyre & Dodds a wee bit mair time tae get their jeckets aff the peg.

Five years ago he was winning Manager of the Month awards in the English Premier League and going toe-to-toe with Ferguson, Wenger and Ancelotti and this week he's moving to a tiny Highland town to work with Dow, Mikkelsen and Gardyne. His career's not exactly on an upward trajectory. You'd think though that with his experience he'll do well in our league.

WW has got a point though. This will not be a budget appointment. County has got some income from somewhere....

Well McGregor is worth £300m so if he's fed up watching his team get beat it's not going to be a big problem for him to pay Owen Coyle an English Championship level wage.

Not too sure, that I agree he'll do well. Always seems to me the good managers have good players. Hartley did better with Hemmings and Stewart, McIntyre did better with Boyce. Think the January window will be interesting to see what recruitment they do.

Hope you're right. I would love to see them go down.

Just saw him on the news there. He really winds me up. Every interview he comes out with the same shite. "It's great to be at the football club. I'll do everything in my power to make this football club a success. The owner/chairman brought me to the football club and I look forward to working with the players of this football club." STFU!
