feel sorry for you bairns,it's your turn.

Their turn to get promoted and re-establish themselves in the top flight?

Personally I don't bother with post-match comments from managers. Sometimes there is nothing to say and sometimes honesty isn't an option but managers have no choice but to churn out cliches for the camera to fulfil the requirements of their contract.

While I like the fact that McCann is excellent in front of the cameras, I judge him solely on performances and results. Good media interaction is a bonus.

Hmm...he got us up, top 6 finish and laid some foundations to move us forward. Yes, he lost his way towards the end - as most managers do.

I'm hoping he does a great job there.

Trying to avoid mentioning PH ...

But eh canne help thinking the serious loss o' Hemmings & Stewart & Harkins (latter maybe self- inflicted) wis impossible to adjust to & did PH no favours. All that said, from our point of view it lead DFC on to NM. And the mair eh see & hear from him the more eh believe it turned oot a blessing in disguise. Very optimistic. (But still early days)

I guess we've done the PH thing to death, Gedee,  and should move on.  However, I would hate to think that history is rewritten when it comes to his reign at Dens.

Hartley did a good job in taking us forward during his first one and a bit seasons at Dens.

From the outside looking in, it appeared that he laid foundations at the club well beyond the first team on match day and made us a more “professional” outfit in a number of ways.

Unfortunately that progress stagnated badly during his third season in charge (despite KH and GS pulling us out of the shite time and time again) and by his fourth season we were going backwards.

I think recent history already proves that the board took the correct decision at the right time to let him go.

We move on..

Interesting to see PH has got jimmy nichol in as his assistant, don't see Jimmy as too much of a yes man which i think McCabe may have been. Will be keeping an eye on them this season as i think not getting an experienced no2 hindered PH a lot!
