How Many Games

Recommended Posts

Has the manager realistically got to turn this around?

2? 3? - next three are Hibs, Killie, and Rangers. Cant say I'm massively confident of taking many out of that on current form.

Lose all three and I reckon he's offski.

I like the guy, but I fear he's out his depth - and the whole way he was appointed gave me the fear with regards this BOD and their day to day decision making.

Hamilton was a massive game for DFC and our players completely lost their discipline. It's the kind of performance that has chairmen and owners around the world panicking.

If we defend like that against Hibs we could lose six or seven and most of the support will turn on him.

Our board are not ones to act rashly though it's hard to know how long McCann has.

I'm expecting one point from the next six games and that would leave us badly cut adrift.

If results go as I expect he'll probably be gone by the time Santa and the Lord Provost turn on the city's Christmas lights.

I hope I’m wrong but looking at our up and coming fixtures, I fear the damage may be terminal for him already. If the BoD aren’t already looking at other options to take McCanns squad forward, I’d be surprised.

Two more abject performances and he’ll be gone is my guess :(

Who's the one point from my friend? Killie at home?

Well mate I was thinking that both Hibs away and Killie at home are possible draws (if we turn up). Then again nobody would be surprised if we lost them both.

I'm quoting Cobra and I hope he doesn't mind. But I'm trying to make a wider point.

Anyone who is a regular on here knows that Cobra is one of the most informative and well-balanced posters. And generally steers to the side of realism and some may say optimism. Over the last few years his realism has often been frowned up by some and he has been accused of being on the 'Happy clapper' side of the Dee brigade. But I've always found his posts balanced, reasoned, based on knowledge and logic and very well-judged and more power to him.

i don't mean to use Cobra as a barometer but if Cobra is erring on the side of caution (1 point from next 18) I'm then guessing that very few Dees will be predicting a hatful of points in the next 6 games (I predicted 3 yesterday and I'm a self-professed Happy Clapper). So...brutal reality. All realistic rationale thinking at this moment in time (note the get out clause for me if things improve!) we will be well adrift at the bottom by Christmas.

Happy Clappers have cancelled Christmas (on that note...where's Chomp? I haven't heard from him for ages. Anyone know?)

it pains me to say it but I think NM has only a few games left to turn it around. Keep on losing and it will only get worse. Obviously.

No problem ELB. I hated the pre-Christmas calls for Hartley's head in recent years because I was very confident PH could turn things around or at the very least keep us close to the pack. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of confidence at the moment at all.

McCann has picked up an average 0.8 points per game as manager and it's only 0.5 since his three-game honeymoon spell at the start. Mixu was sacked after the dabs were relegated with an average of 0.7 so it's pretty clear that NM needs a big improvement and quickly. Easier said than done with our upcoming fixtures.

Chomp doesn't like the negativity around the board atm so I think he's taking a break from posting.
