McPake Return

Recommended Posts

So after the false start around a year ago, McPake has had further work done with a surgeon and is going to be hitting the pitch again tomorrow.

Good news for the guy as I think there must have been a real mental barrier to spending so long to come back and all the surgery to find that he'd need to go through the whole thing again. Pretty difficult to expect him to be at the sort of level that we expect after such a long time out of the game but hopefully, he's still got time left in his playing career and we can see him get another chance to score against the DABS one day.

Why? If he is fit again why should he not play? He was good enough for this level before. Others were signed due to his loss

Because age waits for no one and he has been out of action for nigh on two years.

The women that do zumba at the Charleston library are "fit" it doesn't mean I want them at the centre of the leak-iest defence in the league.

Don't use it you lose it.

The leakiest defence can’t do much worse ? Plenty players do return from long green injury and do well . Would you write off CW?

I'm glad for him. I have to admit I never thought he would get to the stage where he would be able to take part in training again, so fair play to him. I wonder if he's fit enough if we would consider a loan deal in January. Frees up some of his wages and gets him much-needed game time. At the end of the season he'll still have another year left on his deal, so we can make a choice on his future then.

Terrific news. Back to the days of our CH hoofing their CH up in the air whilst their CH is receiving a short pass out from his own ‘keeper. B)

Welcome back, old breed. Let’s get the studs sharpened.

Get him in along side young Waddell. Oldschoolcenterhalfs.dsc
