Alan (arab) Preston tried to make the away team sound good, but admitted at the end Dunfermline were much the better side, and should have won it when they hit the post at the end. He said the 1,300 arabs booed their team off at the end, which was about the only good news :)

St.Mirren's 8 points & 11 goals lead might be enough to keep them in 1st place till the end, the arabs game in hand is their abandoned one at QoS.

ICT maintaining decent form, so next Saturday may be 'interesting'....just hopefully not anything like last year's St.Mirren debacle.

Mid-season saturdays with no game are just 'not right'....far too many of those now, with 2-3 international breaks as well as winter. Too many opportunities for guys (or their families) to 'find something better to do' than go to a match. :o

Surely not?. After a 6 (SIX), goal humiliation last game.

Took in the Arbroath vs Queens Park game this afternoon.  2-1 to Arbroath after being 1-0 down.

Verdict - phucking freezing!  Swankie scored the equaliser and was one of the very few players that looked to play a bit of football.  Game was played at 100mph and generally route 1.  Leighton looked and played like Leighton.  Good 2nd half from Arbroath and they deserved the points.  Respectful minutes applause before the start for John McGlashan.

Rangers, Hibs, Hearts and Partick all arranged games for this weekend. Wonder if they'll be more match-ready for their cup ties than the likes of Dundee.

Those 4 are abroad in training camps, together with loads of teams from the other countries that have breaks, or summer leagues. They're just 'bounce games', and the teams that remained in Scotland may well have been doing the same, albeit in much colder weather....and with a limited number of teams to play against.
