Playing 2 Up Top With Allen In Behind

Should be the last time we do this with our current squad. Totally overrun in the midfield today leaving the defence exposed.

Feel McCann underestimated Inverness today lucky to still be in the cup

Still in the draw though some other positives today, Kerr’s crossing accuracy was 94.75% which should shut a few moaners up and Parish made some good saves.

The missing 5.25% was presumably the one he hit from the edge of the 6 yard box, that returned to earth close to the left touchline?  :o

Aurtenetxe took over the 'canny cross his eyes' mantle this afternoon, with a series of woefully weak attempts to get past the first defender. :)

That was the one Woodstein.

I wouldn’t expect Basque Jon to get the same level of abuse on here though as he is not ‘one of our own’.

Now, now.....there's no need to introduce sarcasm into this polite forum ;)

I may have to go into hiding after mentioning this.....but did you notice, when it was 0-1, after Cammy got a bit 'bogged down' trying to get up the wing in the first half, just inside our half, and had to play it back a bit, there were a lot of howls & teeth-gnashing & a few on their feet in the BC.....and I'm sure Cammy turned & delivered a mouthful in the general direction of the howling? :o He may, of course, been aiming whatever it was he shouted, at Parrish. :)

Both Kerr and Basque Jon were both like sitting ducks today with that formation. Both getting the ball from the back looking up and nothing in front of them all they could do was turn back and pass back both getting caught out at least once.

If we played 1 up front today and still drew the game.boys would be on here moaning about playing 1 up front at home v a championship team.

Probably, but then some folk just like a moan ?

As far as I can remember this season we haven’t played this formation so why chose it today, still think McCann thought Inverness would come and sit in.

Two games in a row now that (imo) El Bak has come on for Allan and the game has changed in our favour.  Allan wasn't poor today but apart from two or three neat turns to beat his man, he still looks like a luxury we can't afford.

Agree it’s hard to squeeze Allen in.

Used to think Elbak flattered to decieve and was a glorified pub player with the odd moment of magic. However, he has grown on me with his sheer ability to take people on and cause problems (especially when coming on as a sub) but, his urge to kick balls into the Bobby Cox instead of passing to a team mate is infuriating.

Allan set the goal up and put 1 on a plate for Moussa, he also put one on a plate for AJ. His job is to create chances, very difficult with the two current forwards.

Moussa is not a footballer at this level,it is amazing he still gets near the team never mind starts. AJ just won a watch by getting extension of his contract.
