Pretty much clears everything up. No way of telling if it was offside really but looks more on than off in the freeze frame so linesman got it right for me, would have been disappointed if it had been given off

Harkins' challenge in first minute was a foul and no more, Smurren fans looking for a booking are away wi' it.

Davo's challenge on Arquin was clumsy and probably should have been a penalty - but Bain would have saved it so what the hey?

First booking for Arquin was a deliberate foul and worth a booking, the second was him falling over his own feet - comical.

They're absolute rubbish in front of goal.

Excellent three points now bring on Hamilton.

As Deeranged stated, they are rubbish in front of goal..............just as well.

We are poor at defending corners and set piece play when crosses come into the box, Mcpake, who I think is a braw player and has been a great signing for us needs to be more commanding at crosses, I also feel there seems to be a lack of communication as to who is meant to be marking who sometimes. However a great result yesterday, and now looking forward to challenging to get into top 6.

Got to say Davos challenge looks like an absolute bricker of a pen to me. We would be seething if it was the other way round.

They look so poor in front of goal they might bring in Tank to increase their goal threat :-)

Have to admit, the poor officiating doesn't bother me one bit when the dodgy penalty and red card decisions are going our way.  :)

Definitely a pen for Davidson's challenge. St Mirren right to feel aggrieved by that.

Irvine doesn't look offside though for the goal. Just glad to get the three points

They were honkin in front of goal, *** knows how we walked away with all 3 points, haha. Looking forward to Saturday, will be my last game I can make it too for a whiley!

Didn't think there was any doubt at the time he was onside as it was right in front of me,was a wee bit surprised to hear on the radio ST Mirren complaining about it.

Considering St.Mirren appear to be a bit upset & paranoid about the "controversies" in their last 3 games, it was good to hear Steven Thomson say on Sportscene tonight that Irvine was definitely onside. He might have some trouble convincing his manager at training on Monday, though!

With no better camera angle, BBC's wee graphic with the line parallel with the edge of the 6-yard box clarified that although Stewart's pass was played slightly forward, Irvine was just onside of him, not even level....linesman was absolutely correct.

There was no view of the red card incident that helped in any way, and the ref was very close to it. They didn't show the Davidson challenge that some have said looked a pen, nor the incident where he was injured.

The officials in the Arabs game, though.....now that really was controversial  Motherwell denied two clear penalties, though the "no-goal" seemed a correct decision (just a bit of a shambles between ref & linesman)....so quite a good day for us, really.

Thought the commentary on Dee game was shocking...practically shouting for offside...Seen Davo's challenge online..no convinced one way or other re pen. Re sending off...I thought stumble initially...then you see him looking back at ref...think ref called it right
