Granted I don’t get along to see Dundee in the flesh and have to make do with what I read on this forum and the awful Sportscene “highlights “I was wondering if perhaps Neil McCann should give Jeremy Malherbe a chance or is that folley. I have seen Elliot Parish make some great saves but also some avoidable errors.

After yesterday I'm sure NM will be seriously thinking about changing his keeper but it will be a big call to make. Suppose it might depend on how good Malherbes communication is. We could see a different back 3/4/5 (delete as appropriate or what tinkering is done) with Caulker, Kusunga, Waddell, John all playing so having a different keeper might be a risk but then again it might be right time to change the keeper.

Will be an interesting decision that's for sure.

2 absolute howlers yesterday and he’s been suspect for a few weeks now (thought he could have done better with two, maybe three last week). Need better for next season.

Not sure Malherbe is any better tbh. Btw was it not holt who scored their second?

Agreed Malherbe was a bit suspect last week in the U20's... Any better than Parish? Hard one to answer without seeing him in action, quite often when players are given the opportunity they play a blinder then again Arvid Schenk comes to mind ?

I was convinced it was an OG but their striker has been credited with it.

He’s sh**e. Serious downgrade on what we had, still, he claps the fans so he’s immune from some quarters.

Yep.

Been happy with Parrish so far and certainly wouldn’t be calling him sh**e, but yesterday was a horrendous ‘day in the office’ for him. For me, the jury is out whether he is the long term solution though. I have the same dubiousness as I had with Bain with regards to what player would be turning up on the day. One day pulling off tremendous saves, the next conceding howlers!

I think he’s decent enough to get us to the summer but I think NM will want someone with similar shot stopping abilities as Bain but with better consistency (and perhaps temperament).

We should have ignored Bain's immaturity and showered him with compliments in the hope that he would have signed a new contract with us. Even if he didn't then the least we've gave had was a decent keeper for the rest of the season
