Dev League - 1 Game To Go For Dundee

After yesterday's disappointment, Hibs win over Aberdeen & our home defeat to Hearts, giving Hibs the title, the young lads will be a wee bit down, I suspect.

They have one game to go, away to St.Mirren, on Monday 23rd, 14:00, at New Western Park (no idea where that is!)....and a win would give them a great chance of securing 2nd place in the table, with 55 points. Hibs have 56 with their last game v Motherwell a week later.

Hearts (on 46 points, 3 games to go) and Celtic (on 36 points, 6 games to go) could overtake us, but as they have to play each other, a 'kind result' (a draw) might be enough to help us secure that 2nd place.

Jimmy Boyle has done a great job with the Dev squad, assisted by James McPake & a few other staff, all of whom deserve as much credit as the players for a great season. I hope they round it off in fitting style, with 3 points in Paisley.

Celtic beat Hearts 4-1 this afternoon, to confirm Dundee as runners-up to Hibs.

Well done to all the young lads & their occasional 'pensioner' guests from the senior squad, and to their management team of Jimmy Boyle, James McPake & the rest of the staff who have helped with this year's Dev squad.

....and can we please have a few goals from your strikers to help the big team stay up! :)

Pity the Arabs had a late surge and finished 9th, only 25 points and 43 goals behind us.
