It seems that Clarkson has equalled the club record of 6 in 6. This was set by Davie McLean way back in 1923

Davie McLean in 1922 from Bradford Park Avenue, played 132 games and scored an 49 goals for the club. The sad fact is he is largely forgotten and should be considered one of the all time greats. He is one of three players that reached over 400 goals in their playing career (Arthur Rowley & Jimmy McGrory are the others).

Very impressive by Clarkson. i knew of his track record at Motherwell but he seemed to have gone off to boil since his move south so wasn't sure about the signing. He has proved me wrong and helped Stewart develop.

When I heard that he had been past over by at least 2 different teams, I thought Hartley was going senile.

What a difference it makes when you have someone who knows what they are doing for a change and how important fitness is and how we have been lacking in that department for years now.

The young strikers at Dens wont have better role models than Clarkson and Peaso, that's for sure.

Seen a stat that diminished his record somewhat... Simon Lynch also scored in his first 6 games for us, although not all were in the league. 1 in the CC and 1 in the LC.

Clarkson's have been against infinitely superior opposition, no doubt.

Don't think anybody expected this to happen when he first signed, myself included. Especially when so many clubs at this level turned him down. Hats off to Hartley and Clarkson. Keep it up lads.

The guy has been a revelation for us, very good at bringing others into the game and has scored some great goals! Wasn't quite sure what to make of him signing to start with, but he's definitely won me over.

I don't know what it is about him, but he just looks predatory if that makes any sense. Been a while since I felt that about one of our forwards. I must say he has surprised me as well, just wonder what he will be like with a full pre season behind him :)
