Despite the odd grumble about the price of football tops, my late Dad was a textile scientist and did testing for major retailers and football shirt manufacturers and....dismissed Beneton, Next etc as cheap rubbish whils extolling the virtues of the modern football shirt as a wear often, wash often and it will still look and feel good for years. It was the material that made it so durable.

As a kid of the 70s- There's not enough white and red in it for me usually but I must say I like it a lot!!!!! I agree its something different and a great addition to our history of classic kits.

Will get one when/if a Long Sleeve version becomes available!

Was hoping there would be a nod to our 125th on the badge or something???

Will the away have this or will there be a 125th anniversary  3rd shirt specifically???

It's £45. Kids are £35.

Thanks for the clarification. I wonder how much the Vietnamese worker is getting paid for making them. Are the XL to 5XL sizes the same price and will we being paying more for long sleeves?

TBH I've not had a problem with most of the first team kits in recent years. This one is no exception, although I would still prefer it without the 'bands' - albeit they are quite subtle this time.

It's the away kits that are usually horrid.

That's a question for Puma. They are, yes. I think you're £5 extra for long sleeve (I've no idea, I only buy short sleeved).

Part of me thinks white shorts would look better. Part of me thinks I love a bit of red trim. But part of me says well done to the club for doing something so bold. We are after all the DARK BLUES. I like it.
