I think that once all the out of contract and fringe players leave we should be shopping for:-

Goalkeeper.

At  least one hard tacking full back.

A ball winning scoring midfielder.

A direct fast wide man who can finish.

Obviously a striker that can get at least 15 goals a season.

In addition to this we will also need to deal with the situation if Caulker, Kamara, O'Hara and Holt move on, as seems likely.

It's important that business is done early and hopefully McCann will be running up a huge phone bill.

That about sums it up for me as well.  Quality over quantity.

Now where & when did I hear that expression?  :chin:

Hopefully a season's experience & the establishment of the scouting process he criticised (or said didn't exist) will allow NM to achieve this important goal, pre-season. I guess he can say he definitely managed some of each, this season. :happyyes:

The first time I can recall the expression was by the Bard of Govan in the episode "Offski". Comedy classic. Better be careful though the red phone has just gone off in the office of the Off Topic Police.

What friggin header?

A novel way of creating a new topic that we can post anything we like to do with 'headers', and be sure we're not 'off topic' :)

Headed goals scored, missed, defensive headers, headers that dislodged gnashers, headers on newspaper articles, and heid-bangers that played, managed, or owned DFC. All have a home on a DFC forum.
