Hopefully we can keep Caulker and Kamara.

We should build around those two and Wighton as a a no 10.

Think we need to add a proper striker...we may have to pay a bit more here to get one that actually converts.

In addition to that a ball winning, gritty midfielder who also has a goal threat. Again we may have to pay a bit more in wages here too. If he can make a creative pass now and again then great but CW33 could handle that.

I would limit our summer signings to these two plus maybe one more.

Focus on a small amount of quality additions whilst letting a good number go. We have youth coming through too so don't need to add too many I think.

I would guess its not a simple trick to pull off. Say we brought in 3 'star' players, paying them 2 or 3 times what the current squad are on, that might cause friction too. I mind Rooney making demands to Fergie to up his 200K a week wages because someone was getting paid more than him. An extreme example I know but human nature being what it is, not difficult to imagine it at our level either.

Yeah agree it's tricky on that front. Maybe we don't go for star players then, just a bit of a level up from what we have in a couple of key positions. I really think 2 or 3 quality buys could see us have a different season next year. I think we have a decent squad already. It's definitely not going to be like Hartley's first season or even McCann's, in terms of players in.

Im sorry but at our level I am not sure the midfielder you describe exists. I would be quite happy for a good sitting midfielder who won’t be bullied and can put the foot in and then keep it simple and give it to the boys like Wighton who can play a bit. Obviously a complete different level but the boy Kante is a perfect example of this. He doesn’t get that many goals and assists but what he has brought to Leicester and Chelsea is absolutely crucial and nine times out of ten he keeps it simple.

In an ideal world I would love to see us with a settled squad bolstered by 3/4 good additions as I feel it’s the best way for us to progress but I fear another overhaul of the squad this summer.

Is Kamara not out Kante?

No doubt he is great on the ball and has great ability but don’t see him as an enforcer type and feel we are desperate for that type of player for games against the Hamilton’s of this world.

Yeah you might be right :) Agree about a player with dig who could keep it simple and it to players like Wighton.

Think Kante has a lot more dig than Kamara. Kamara is a slick passer but doesn't dominate the midfield and lead. He also doesn't make the forward creative ball very often. Still, for what he does do he is excellent.

Absolutely, that type of player needed plus a proper striker.

Problem being at our level the proper striker you talk about are pretty hard to find and if they do come avalaible usually there is 4/5 teams competing for them. That’s why we end up taking punts on the Moussa’s of this world.

Yes I agree. We might need to pay a little more and limit the number of players we add. If only we could get another Caulker type in who was a striker :)

Think we will lose kamara or caulker, can't a afford to lose both of them though. But whoever goes will bring In a decent amount of money,we should use that to bring in a proven striker and of course a replacement for whoever leaves.
