Both have got top ratings ... So might (jist might) be worth watching or recording.

"A Very English Scandal" (BBC1) ... "The Handmaid's Tale" (CH4)    (& As a reminder, 2nd leg o' Play-off Final (3.30 BT.)

Top man Gedee, forgot about the playoff. Might need to ditch the cup final at Tannadice now. ?

Glad I could remind you WW. It's that time when season winds right doon, it's easy to forget.

I might be overcomplicating the issue, but I still canne make my mind up, who I want through.

Handmaids tale is (not ashamed to admit it) actually a pretty good watch. ?

Just watched both programmes, that I mentioned above tonight (recordings)

Didnae realise the Jeremy Thorpe on was a 3 parter. TBH for awe meh daft talk on here aboot"this & that" on the sex front, I'm uncomfortable when eh see twa men getting ready to "go at it" But that aside, it turned oot fine ... And strangely it had some darkish humour.

On Handmaids ... weel there certainly wisnae a laugh a minute in that !! Mighty dark stuff. The last series, I kinda gave up halfway through. But eh think eh might stick wi' this ain. (Might wait however, until a get a real glut o' negative, gloom-doom posts on the Forum) ...

And then I'll be right in the mood for awe the Pain & Death & Darkness:chaplin:

PS .. JIST AS AN  ADD-ON

I never, ever watch anything wi' Hugh Grant in it (always thought he wis the "frothy, stuttery" kind) ... Crap actor wi' nae substance !!

Maybe I've been doing him a dis-service. He is brilliant here in the lead role.

He has Jeremy Thorpe down to a tee .. in looks, voice & mannerism .

(Mind eh could have done withoot his comments & instructions arond the jar o' vaseline he presented tae the young man...Norman Scott)

Before he wis preparing to loup on tae him
