Highly doubtful he will be back at us then. Not a player we should be spending money on. Cheap option to come off the bench I could maybe see the reasoning. Surprised Hibs are holding out for money to be honest and not just happy to get him off the wage bill.

I suppose managers know what they're getting with Murray, a no frills worker. Fans want teams to win games, if teams aren't winning the fans at least want to see them working hard. They'll get that from Si.

Funny how the laddie is sought after by a whole host of clubs/managers yet the average punter in our stands don't rate him.

United fans don't rate him either apparently, but their club couldn't buy him right now lol

In many ways, his impact reminds me of Fellaini.

He's a player who is derided by most of the press and supporters as being wildly out of his depth and even expert pundits as not really being statistically that effective but, despite that, managers have stood by him and coaches in the game do hold him in high regard. I think the similarity is that when he's on the pitch, the whole game is markedly really different. He really asserts himself the whole feel and control of the game does change. Murray is like that a bit as he does have a lot of raw pace and general athleticism to work a back line hard.

The metric that isn't really normally reflected in the stats I suppose is that you can have a player who might take one chance out of 4 but watch the whole game pass them by. Someone like Murray might have a conversion of half of that but create many more chances for themselves and hence really put the attacking pressure off. It's really a great defensive tool to have when you've got a player who can mean that the game gets played in the right places.

My personal hunch is that the fee is a bit steep (if true) and I think McCann is going to pull something off but I think he is a good tool to have and will get better with experience. Even if his composure improves ever so slightly, the returns could potentially be quite big.

Hibs will have rejected it as they’ve only two strikers at the club and have European fixtures coming up. As soon as they sign up anyone he’ll be off to Lanarkshire for two Wham Bars and a Werthers original.

Then next year he’ll be off somewhere else, once again derided for being an awful footballer but a guy that ‘always give 100%’

Repeat ad nauseum until he loses his pace.

I'd say a joob-joob and twa granny sookers.

Don't think that dundee should pay money for him. We need a goalscorer and any money we are willing to pay for transfers should go to that

I rate him, but he'll not score the goals we badly need. I'd rather that £50-100k went in the pot towards a proven goal scorer like the laddie Bonne
