Just seen on the news, Senegal fans doing the same, don’t we refer to them as a “third world country”.

Yep, or as a pal of mine once said, "the 3rd world in danger of coming 4th".

Splendid effort from them to be fair. We, unfortunately, live in the era of the ignorant bassa.

Just noticed the reaction by some fans of picking & bagging the litter left after the games was highlighted on National News.

But Cheers to Cobra for getting the story to the front. Even the BBC's Natioal News Team check oot TDBF & Cobra's Posts ;)

To be honest, I thought it was some kind of PR stunt - I checked with a few Japanese that I teach and they confirmed it's normal and happens all the time.  Fair play to them.

There's no doubt about it HK it seems (generally) we are a bunch o' Messy Buggers ...

Although I live rural and I'm limited to how far I can make use of the bonnie walks around me now, I do try to get a short walk a day (basically to remind me, eh'm still here) ;) Even on the shortest walks, I'm surprised at the amount o' litter I see blawin' aboot. As it only takes a moment to pick it up, I sometimes do this .... But when eh get back to meh hoose, it taks me half an hour to decide, which' o' the FIVE  RECYCLING BINS eh should put the stuff into .

(I'm making this post a bit light-hearted, but the truth is, it really only takes a few seconds to put yir ain muck in yir pocket/bag ...Think those in cars are probably the worst offenders)

You might not be surprised to hear how bad it is in my place - children seem to have no concept of disposing of trash properly (my own included) - a couple of months ago some kind of sports event was held and they had fast food.  The next day there were literally hundreds of cups/bags/trays etc lying around the field.  Clearly nobody had made any attempt to clear up and had just dropped their crap where they stood,  adults and kids alike.  One of the main reasons is most of the families around me have a maid so the parents and kids are incredibly lazy.

I've got to watch, eh dinnae come over as a Moaning Auld Git .... 'cause that aint meh style :)

But it's getting worse everywhere. And I imagine the older are no much better than the young.

There is a ton of packaging on everything of course these days, but that is still no excuse:chaplin:
