He seems to bring disharmony wherever he goes. Can't see NM being keen on having him in the dressing room.

I'd say he's a high risk strategy for whoever signs him, I'm guessing he'd rather go to a smaller club so he can be a 'big shot' rather than a squad player at a bigger club. No doubting the guy knows where the goal is though.

Would be a top class signing. I'd be thrilled if he came to Dens.

If he was a saint off the park he wouldn't be a realistic signing.

My concern would be that he'd be a big hit here and score the goals that our good play merited but be a ticking time bomb who could leave us in the lurch with a moment of madness without a seconds though for himself or his employers. He plays on the edge and lives on the edge and for, probably, a couple of grand a week might represent too big a gamble. Would love him here though if he screwed the nut.

He spent a number of seasons as a first-choice striker at Celtic where he won trophies and scored a lot of goals. He's now 29, the peak for a striker, and has a good record of staying fit. He has a rap sheet that is nowhere near as bad as McGowan's. I just don't get why we'd turn down the chance to sign a player of that calibre (especially after all the moaning we did last season about the need for a proven striker). This guy is on another level up from Hemmings and if we want to someone up front capable of hurting the Old Firm and leading us to that elusive cup win then he's exactly the kind of signing we need.

You look at his goal last season at Dens. The run is brilliant and the finish is even better. We appear comfortable at the back and then bang they've scored. Waddell has lost his man and Bain is left helpless.

I would like him at the club and he would be the type of signing that would excite the fans.

Seems a bit of a right prick off the field mind you and could potentially hurt the dressing room but for me, it’s a chance worth taking.

He would definitely improve our rivals so I’d rather he was at Dens than another club in Scotland.

I get what he'd bring, I'm worried we'd become over reliant on him then boom he's gone for some stupid reason like bigging up the IRA down his local, getting in a scrap and missing games. You could just see it, he's the type that can implode at any minute just because he wants to be the big man. We're then Fooked mid season relying on Moussa and Wighton to fill his boots.Good player though.

Yeah there would definitely be concerns about something going wrong but I would love to see another KT-style signing. Someone who can lift the profile of the club and help the players and fans believe we can beat anyone on our day.

The reality is El Bak is the typical level of striker we're going to attract unless there are unusual circumstances. Lennon's comments about Stokes have opened the door to someone like Dundee signing the player and I hope we're interested. McCann might not fancy the challenge but managing difficult people is part of the job and sometimes it's worth it.
