Samuel L Jackson to give him his full name. John Nelms is fed up of the shite on UK TV so is using some of the vast fortunes he earns from DFC to fly over Hollywood film stars to recreate scenes from his favourite movies.

One for the future.... Great to see that we're now a club that's investing more money in  young players with potential even if only a few make the grade its much better than splashing all the cash on free agents that rarely give a financial return.

I await the very much 'in-your-face' S.L.Jackson version of the 'Harvey Keitel / Direct Line' type of ads on DeeTV, with great anticipation

Agree and I think agents and players are seeing Dundee FC as a club that will help develop the player, give them a chance to perform and will help them on to bigger things. Its a win win for a club like us, good players and a potential to cash in and help grow the club.

Aye, because we've made nothing from free agents like Kane Hemmings, Greg Stewart or Jack Hendry! 😉 We should also have handled the Scott Bain situation better (from around 2 seasons ago) and made money from him too.

I do get where you're coming from mate and don't fully disagree, but when was the last time we made any money from a youth prospect? Craig Forsyth maybe?

I think we're maybe going about it the right way just now though and bringing them in a little later in the player's development, hopefully meaning that we're doing a little less 'taking a shot in the dark'.

In the past BB we have looked for the quick fix (for good reasons) and your dead right we have found some gems on the freebie list and made some money  from them but I can think of dozens more that have been a waste of space and money over the years which probably takes away from all the good ones. I honestly believe developing raw talent is the best policy for a club like ours and if we can keep a decent budget set aside for that then it's potentially a money generating platform which for a club of our size is vital

My post was partly tongue in cheek mate, but there are fewer examples of great players that have ever come through our youth than those who have excelled after they've been brought in.

Any club, however, should be doing both and it's good to see we now are beginning to do so. I still think that for every youth player that comes through the ranks, thirty or forty (or more) are let go. It's a crap shoot.
