What would your team be for Dundee's first competitive fixture of the season assuming everyone is fit and available?

Difficult question I know given that we don't know much about the new signings. I'm going to have a stab anyway.

Went for the same formation as you Beto but Parish in goals and the Moose up front.

Are we really not in a position to select a team? There are only four unfamiliar faces. Nathan probably has to start as he is our only recognised left back. Elton is I think this season's hope for being the team's creator, Mendy appears to be our current best hope for hitting the back of the net consistently, and that leaves Madianga, who I think was brought in as cover/replacement for Kamara.

I honestly have no idea whatsoever as to what our strongest 11 is mate. I have zero idea about any of the new players. 

Will we start 3 at the back, or 4? Will he go with wide men playing high up the park, or deep? Or no width at all. Is Wighton playing through the middle, or off the left, or from the bench?

Will it be 1 up top or 2? 

Hamilton or Parish? 

Are we signing the trialists? 

Lads who've seen the Stirling and Cowden games or/and went to Portugal should have an idea but I genuinely go into the weekend with no expectations as to who will play. I found it difficult enough to guess what we'd go with all through last season, so can't personally hazard a guess as to how it will pan out, but it is interesting reading other's thoughts.

I was just wondering what XI Dees would put out given what we know about the players and given the quality of the opposition. I appreciate we have no idea what McCann is thinking.

That's my back three, and midfield four and I also agree with Wighton and Mendy. My only change is I'd give Henvey a start alongside Mendy

Sorry mate, I wasn't having a pop. For someone like me who has seen nothing so far it is an interesting opportunity to see what folk are thinking.

If the rumours /speculation are true then can't see him playing this weekend or ever again in a Dundee team
