The Dark Blues sail to victory over Stirling Albion on a sunny day at Forthbank Stadium. Dundee were decisive and went out and did the job which was mostly expected, but a very good win nonetheless.

Goals from Moussa (2), Mendy and Wighton.

Good result. Some of the shocks today show that these early games aren’t as easy as people think with teams still being a bit rusty. It’s a definite leveller. Good to start off with a comfortable win!

A fine 4-0 win. Well done to the players.

With Moussa scoring another two goals today I do not know why some posters on this forum are clamouring for NM to sign another goal scorer.

Always difficult this early in the season. I'd have taken any kind of win today so a 4-0 with goals from both frontmen and Wighton ticks every box for me.

Only shock result I can see is Annan Athletic beating Hamilton, everything else seems to be pretty much as you'd expect 😉

took his goals well but he could’ve had 5. same old story missed an absolute sitter then scored a 20x harder chance.

i think moussa still has a lot to offer and i personally like him. Elton, kamara, mcgowan and mendy all looked quite good and impressed me. pleasing

Because we went through the whole of last season and he was far from prolific. That said, I seem to remember Juan Sara being quite unorthodox and banging them in the first season, only to flatter to deceive the following season. Moussa might hit the mark this season. Still think we need another striker though.

Is it fair for myself and other like minded to get over excited about a 4-0 win against a diddy team as it is for the neysayers who were pulling their hair our during pre-season cos we couldn't beat the likes of cowdenbeath and we were doomed for relegation? 🤔

Glad we are off to a great start 😁

Big Congratulations all the same ... To ALL the DFC players ... OLD & NEW:chaplin:

John, know you'll forgive on this one occasion for momentary going off-topic :happyyes:

Arabs draw to Arbroath who win 3-5 penalties.. "which was mostly expected" :lol2:

Hi Cannigia,

Could Moussa be the next George McLean.

Hi ChinaDee,

I was trying to stimulate some debate on this topic with my somewhat controversial post. I realise that one swallow does not make a summer!
