What a great start to the season. Very encouraging.

McCann picked a team to win and we routed them.

Makes all the anxiety about friendly results seem a bit unnecessary. Early days yet though admittedly.

Just shows the trip to Portugal with the hard friendlies in the heat did a massive amount of good. Very pleasing to kick off the season with a 4-0 win

Very good performance overall. All the new lads did well and I was very impressed by Ralph and Elton in particular. Wighton and moussa excellent.

I for one am pleased to see that after all the friendly results that once the real season starts, we put the sword to a team in the very first result. Hopefully this is not a fluke and I guess that we will see in the next match if we are ready for the season ahead?

Good result, good for the confidence and maybe, just maybe we can see the signs that we are improving.

May be a little early for a prediction but expect Moussa to get a decent amount of goals this year. 

With being in the right positions and the chances he missed last year, hopefully he has had the chance to work on his game, a year of getting to know his team mates, a full preseason under his belt, stays injury free and bangs them in.

What anxiety? Only from eternal moaners. Where are they tonight? 

Accept this game didn't stretch us, but a friendly result means almost zero to me.... Unless it's very bad or very good.

Enjoyed that today

We dominated the game as expected and apart from a couple of dodgy moments at the back, we were solid.

Happy to see Moussa score a couple but shocking miss from him

Still think we need around 3-4 new players. Width seemed to be an issue I thought.

As for the new players, I liked the look of Mendy and Elton. Still not convinced about Ralph though and have a feeling he might struggle against premiership wingers.

Seems decent enough going forward though so hopefully he can improve defensively but feel we need another left back for cover at least.

He scored plenty from open play in last year's LC, good result but lets not get over excited

What a braw day that was.  Only downside was I forgot to put on some factor 50 before the game.  27 degrees outside the ground just after the game.

2nd goal killed it tbh.  As others have said a few shaky defensive moments in both halves of the game and Hamilton looks like he could be another Bain - great shot stopper but stuck to his line at times.  Moussa's miss was spectacular even by his standards - you should hit the target from 3 yards every time.  Played really well when he changed his boots.  The new guys all played well and Elton was the standout.   Wighton really came on to a game the more it went on.  Roll on next Sunday now.
