A fine 4-0 win. Well done to the players.

With Moussa scoring another two goals today I do not know why some posters on this forum are clamouring for NM to sign another goal scorer.

Hmmm remember we were playing Stirling Albion!

Not long back. Very good result. Thought we played some good stuff albeit against a poor side. Still not confident about Moussa. If we want to progress we’ve got to get better than him. Credit where credit is due he was in the right place to take his goals but other than that he cuts a comic character and is nothing more than an average player. Sad but true😩

Exactly Moussa is a Championship striker at best.

Enjoyed that today

We dominated the game as expected and apart from a couple of dodgy moments at the back, we were solid.

Happy to see Moussa score a couple but shocking miss from him 😂

Still think we need around 3-4 new players. Width seemed to be an issue I thought.

As for the new players, I liked the look of Mendy and Elton. Still not convinced about Ralph though and have a feeling he might struggle against premiership wingers.

Seems decent enough going forward though so hopefully he can improve defensively but feel we need another left back for cover at least.

Thought Ralph was the pick of the new guys and wasn't convinced by Mendy as most of his good work was done in deep positions.

Not a problem.  I look forward to you sticking the knife in to one of our players after the next game.  Maybe even beforehand.

I think you're being a bit harsh here bud, it was his opinion and I am sure that there are others out there who will agree that while Moussa is likeable, he isn't the answer.

I remember this time last year when he put three past Cowdenbeath and everyone thought he was going to score for fun, and when in fact it turned out that he did the exact opposite and turned out to be a bit of a flop. Fair enough, he can hold up a ball and gets stuck it, but so did Hemmings and he scored a lot more goals as well.

I personally don't rate him, and I believe we can do better as a striking option because I cannot see him scoring more than he did last year (would love him to prove me wrong).

Can't disagree with this more mate. Moussa missed a sitter but his overall game was very good. He took his 2 goals well, especially the first, had an assist and worked like an absolute Trojan. Set up plenty of chances for his teammates with clever flicks and headed knock-downs. Harsh to fault him today.

I'm giving him credit for what he did today.  From where I'm sitting it reads like others are basically saying he's shyte or 'he's not the answer regardless of what he does.

As is often the case, the smaller club performed fairly well first half, and although we missed a couple of good chances, they were maybe unlucky to be a goal down at HT, thanks to a great save from Hamilton. The pace was very slow, the ball was being moved around, back & up without a lot of urgency.

Once our 2nd goal went in, though, the gulf became increasingly obvious, they tired, we found much more space, and with any 'pressure' gone, passed the ball a lot better. it was one of those 4-0 going on 8-1 games.

4 at the back worked quite well, and Kerr & Ralph had plenty of opportunities to attack, and weren't really under pressure. Meekings swept up well at the back, with Kusunga fairly dominant.

I was surprised to see Gowser start, simply because I thought NM might want to see how we fared without him, being mindful of Monday's appointment. The 'main 3' of him, Kamara & N'gwatala worked well together, though still holding the pace down a gear. Wighton played a fairly wide role, somewhere between midfield & attack, had a very quiet first half, but started to perform around the 2nd goal, and looked like his confidence was growing & the goal should give him a wee boost. 1000+ of us can now say we were there, when Kamara took his first shot at goal....though I still think it may have been a pass ;)

Moussa & Mendy got on fine together up front, falling back into midfield as required & often in search of the ball. Both took their 3 goals well & unlucky not to add a few more.....but Moussa's rolled-past-the-post miss was indeed a howler. When Haber goes, I hope NM will use the combined value of those 3 wages he's offloaded this week, to bring in a striker with a thirst for goals, who can partner either Moussa or Mendy....a Bonne or Rooney type would do, though I'd like a new Coyne or Wright!

I appreciate it's 'only Stirling', but it's 3 points on the board (with a tough one next Saturday), a clean sheet & a few goals. Although NM said 'we're in this to win it', these 4 games still have a pre-season feel & atmosphere (ie, very little!), and I'm glad we have them, before the crucial games start in August. Czaba made a very good point in the Courier today, suggesting the LC group matches should allow 5 subs, to help teams make the transition from pre-season to league, and give more players some game time.

Might be a bit harsh on Ralph looking back. He improved second half tbf and looked good going forward.

I thought Mendy was good overall and had some lovely moments in the first half.

The fact that he managed to put the ball in the net is most encouraging though!

Wasn't at the game today but based on what he did last season in league games Moussa aint the answer mate.

We played Stirling Albion today remember.
