It's the same every game!

probably the most frustrating thing about our displays this season tbh.

It's not just stopping crosses coming into the box either. The basics of defending are being overlooked time and time again.

No cover dropping in for full backs when they are up field

Generally a lack of marking / positional awareness

Not tracking runners in the channels

Poor communication with unecessary corners being conceded when there's no shout letting one of our boys know he has time

Covering posts at set pieces / corners

We need to get a defensive coach in I would say..

Totally agree with ALL of your above points, we CAN'T defend crosses coming into our box, we lose goals

like this EVERY game, so I don't think we can be trying to stop this in training, or if we are, the person

that's meant to be our Defence Coach, hasn't a clue what's he's doing, but yet again, I just don't get the

love in for James McPake, he's the cause yet again for loosing goals.

Dundee 0-2 Celtic - 1st goal is a cross from the left.
Dundee 1-1 Hamilton - Accies goal from a corner.

Aberdeen 3-3 Dundee - Aberdeens 1st and 3rd come from crosses both from the left.

Dundee 4-1 Motherwell - Motherwell's goal - cross from the left.

Dundee 1-1 Ross County - County's goal - cross from the left.

United 6-2 Dundee - 1st, 3rd and 5th goal - come from crosses. (one from a corner, one from the left and one right)

15 goals conceded in 2015 - 9 of which have come from crosses or corners  :( Of those 9 - 2 have been corners, 6 have come from left back area and 1 from the right.

Full back areas are a huge problem. McGinn will come good once he gets over his injury and he'll be right back. We need a left back though.

Brilliant run from Griffiths.

The marking from Irvine on the second goal however was disgraceful

It may have been a brilliant run but from our point of view it's a terrible goal to lose.

Irvine did let get away from Griffiths but where were the centre halfs? They were not within 5 yards of celtics forwards

McPake may put in some great trackles but his marking is fucking shocking

The reaction of our defence to the rebound was ridiculous too. All busy standing with their hand up claiming for offside despite the fact they were all closer to the ball than Johanassen who stuck home the rebound.

I'm honestly not all that keen on finishing top six when our back four is so bad we could could concede seven or eight to one of the top sides. Bain was in stunning form today and Celtic barely broke a sweat. Thankfully, they were just happy to progress comfortably so we avoided a hammering.
