  1. 1. What is your prediction for our first home league game of the season?

    • A surprise victory
    • A hard-fought draw
    • A narrow loss
    • A crushing defeat

Aberdeen snatched a last-gasp point at home to 10-man Rangers and visit Dens next with both teams looking for a first league win of the season.

The Dee haven't had a positive result against the Dons since Rooney's last-minute equaliser after Tankulic put Dundee ahead.

Can we end our dire run against them?

With Logan, Reynolds, probably Mckenna and maybe the boy Hoban all out there's probably not a better time to play them. Their strikers look pretty lacklustre as well, Cosgrove seems to be more of a guy to hold up the ball than a finisher and Stevie May's been nowhere near the same level he was at with St Johnstone.

GMS and Mcginn are the main threats, especially with how weak we seem to be at left back. Cammy absolutely can't play there or they'll have a field day.

Nullify the two wingers and don't let Shinnie get going and I think we could make a game of it, they looked dreadful today.

Would be very pleased with a draw.

Only listened to their game on the radio today and they sounded badly hungover from Thursday night where they were phenomenal for a good part of the 120 minutes v Burnley.

A draw against them would always be a good result since we've came up.

Sadly I think it will be damage limitation if they're in the mood and we go again with the current squad.

Hoping to be proven massively wrong and we take the game to them and match them. Wasn't much in the game their last visit to Dens.

Hope they play the boy Cosgrove he is stinking.

We cannot play 3 at the back next week or we will get pumped. They play with 2 wingers who will destroy us. We have to play 4-5-1 next week.

I thought the exact same about Cosgrove. He was be far the poorest player in the game. All he seemed to do was run around aimlessly but he was always a second too late. His control was poor as well. Compare him to someone like Main at Motherwell and it is night and day.

Why does everybody think we are going to get hammered? We had 3 narrow defeats against them last season. Played well enough to get a win and a draw in two of them.

Since then Aberdeen look like they have weakened. I would argue we have ever so slightly strengthened (except left back position). It's got a hard fought draw written all over it IMO where we will be ruing missed chances again.
