Guest Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 On the radio yesterday they suggested that Dundee need a strong spine and 6 players including a 'keeper to be bought in. Heard a few supporters saying the same re: goalkeeper. Is a 'keeper a must this window? Personally, I don't think it is. Tighten up the defence and get a better midfield and that will ease the pressure off the 'keeper. 2x Defenders 4x Midfielders 2x strikers
harry94 Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 Craig Curran is genuinely quite a good player. I recognise that there would be an uproar but it's in a different league to the Paul Quinn silly season stuff. We could do better but if United were desperate to free up funds, a six month loan would be really cheap and give us another option. Think Kallman and Kenny Miller are good enough but it's just that bit of depth we're missing up front. 2
WeighorstsWang Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 (edited) Curran is an absolute workhorse. He runs himself into the ground and roughs up the opposition backline. If we could somehow get Haber off the wages and replace him with Curran, it's a chance I'd take. Edited 27 December 2018 by WeighorstsWang 4
Sebastiano Nela Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 Curran impressed me when he was at County - a big hard kunt that gave defenders a hard time. Nae idea how he's done for that lot ower the road.

Need I go on?.
Cobra Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 We lack cover at LB and RB. Ideally we'll bring in one player who can play both positions. Boyle leaves in January (probably) and Inniss might be sent back to Palace early so that means we need 1 or 2 CBs coming in. Kamara doesn't have the motivation to wear dark blue anymore so he simply has to be replaced. We don't have a number 10 at the club so that's a position we surely have to fill. Curran and C Miller are our only options at RM and LM so we'll hopefully bring in at least one wide player. Up front Moussa and Mendy are out the picture so that leaves us with K Miller and Kallman. 1-2 forwards need to come in. In conclusion I think we need to bring in 6-8 players if we're going to have suitable squad cover to ensure we stay up. That's probably not realistic though. Bare minimum we need is one defender, one midfielder and one attacker.

Wattie Rojas Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 Curran can't even get a game for a p**h United team.
J_Kitamirike Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 I think we will see "it's fashion, darling" returning to the club in January... Could lightning strike twice and the big man potentially save our season? He's had a shocker at Falkirk though so who knows? 1

Also turned away Haber when he saved our season. General rule I make now is to take their assessments with a pinch of salt.
Head Shaker Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 Curran works tirelessly for his team and unsettles defenders with his constant closing down and whilst he isn't a prolific scorer he will chip in with a few.
