Motherwell On Saturday

Had a little gander at Motherwell Mad this afternoon...

The Well supporters are in meltdown as you would probably expect with their recent run of form!

Plenty of them are talking about young Dom Thomas as the best player at their club. so much so that they reckon whether he starts or not is the key to them staying up or not.

19 years old, left winger and currently sat on the bench.

Anybody know anything about him? Is he worth a look at for us next season?

We need to creatively "click" for this match next Saturday. They'll be fighting for their lives and you would expect them to be right up for every 50/50 and to be desperate to notch a win.

We need both Harkins and Stewart starting next week and we've got to be far quicker out of the traps than we have of late.

None of this only turning up in the second half please Dundee.

Would be tempted to give Wighton a start. His movement will cause their defence problems, especially given how bad they've defended against us this season. Also think he earned it after being involved in the winner on Saturday.

I'd go with something like this:

                        Bain

McGinn McPake Konrad Irvine (if fit)

              McGowan McGinn

Harris             Harkins           Stewart (if fit)

                      Wighton

May be a lot to ask a 17 year old to play that lone striker role, but he'll get plenty of service and support with the three behind him all starting.

Motherwell signed him from Celtic when he was 16. There would still be a fee for the 3 years he spent at well but it wouldn't be too much I would imagine.

I can't remember what the exact figure was with United and Telfer, but off the top of my head it was something like 20k/year.
