That's why the board should definitely not publicly announce any such thing. All Nelms has to say is that the board of directors have made funds available for Jim McIntyre to use during the forthcoming January transfer window

McIntyre needs to work on what he has - if he’s a good coach , he will improve individuals . Hi DBK. In my opionion some of the players McCann signed are beyond coaching to first team Premier League Standard in Scotland.

In the absence of alternatives at the moment its all we have. I have no doubt that if ffs open the wallet and allow 7:8new signings as some are hoping for, several will end up being no improvement on what we have already and just add to the wage bill 1

Recently I was speaking to a United supporter who told me that Jim McIntyre would sign big burly players in the transfer window who would steamroller the opposition and as a result we would stay up. I hope that he is correct.

In your previous post you said that if the board of directors said that substantial funds were available players would make extra demands plus transfer fees would be inflated. Therefore the Dundee board of directors state that funds are available but keep their ‘cards close to their chest’ on the size of them.

Why don't they just keep their mouths shut and let the manager spend whatever cash they have made available to him? Announcing stuff like this in the press doesn't actually make ay difference. In fact it probably puts more pressure on the manager. 3
