I criticise where criticism is due Islay, it's a public forum and that's what it's all about. I like your posts because you say what you think - however if I think what you're saying is wrong I'll let you know because, like you, I say what I think. For the record I was member of the month for November because I'm great and everybody loves me. 3

We’ve just had 3 tough games, 2 tough games coming up, McCanns players, McCanns fault, Nelms culpable, McIntyre blameless, performances have improved. Reality is Dundee have only beaten 1 team in the league this season before Christmas. 6 points needed in the next 2 easy home fixtures or McIntyre should be punted. Signing ex Ross County players in Jan won’t cut it with McIntyres limitations. Can't really see much wrong with this first paragraph apart from the perception that these are excuses, when to my mind they seem to be a fair statement of what has happened. Second paragraph is also a statement of fact. Third para first sentence, seems to me to be designed to provoke rather than promote discussion. With slightly different wording the point being made is that the next two games are at home, against teams that are not at the top of the table and so we should hope for wins. The threat of JM being punted if this doesn't happen is just an attempt to emphasise a point by using hyperbole, the writer doesn't think that this will happen or I suspect, even believe it should happen. Third para second sentence, raises concerns that JM is not a defence minded manager who had a rich owner who squared the books annually, and funded loadsa players that dug them out of a hole when JM was faced with an even worse position at RC than we are currently facing. My worry has been that our track record in January Windows has been poor. Perhaps paying money for better players is the one thing we have not tried. Might be important to make sure that they only get decent money if they succeed in getting us to 10th place, and fair money if they keep us up via the playoffs. 1

Hi PB, I must admit that every time I see your name in the ‘in box’ of my emails I give a sigh because it is likely that you will be criticising something I have posted. However I am delighted to hear that you enjoy reading my posts even if you do not agree with them. There is a well known saying which my father ‘drummed into’ me. Self praise is no honour!!

How many of Livis first team would you have? Me probably 1. I would take their manger in a heart beat though

He had an almost 50% win rate at Falkirk, losing only 16 of his 52 matches in charge. He quit to take up a coaching role at Norwich. Seemed pretty decent to me.
