Valentke Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 I hate the “wage thief” term. Many of the players don’t have the required ability but to term them thief’s doesn’t sit well with me. They were given a contract by a guy who did not recognise their limited ability and unsuitability for the SPFL I can’t blame any of the players for accepting greater financial rewards. 2

I agree he had a poor game like everyone else but at least he always showed for a pass and never hid like the rest of this bunch of imposters. 1

I must admit that there was no atmosphere in the home stands. Even the South Enclosure was strangely quiet when the Saints supporters tried to goad them. We were very fortunate that we did not suffer a bigger defeat. In my opinion the Dundee players who are either on loan, have a short term contract or can sign a PCA next month should have been ‘busting a gut’ to get noticed by other clubs especially if they have been told by JM that they have no future at Dens.
McSkimmeroo Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 Nelms is clueless. He foolishly said JM needs to get us an 8th place finish and nothing short of that will do. This means that if JM brings in 5 or 6 players in January its possible they will also be punted in the summer when ANOTHER new manager comes in as we will be lucky to finish 10th. Tim Keyes needs to get involved more unless he is prepared to urinate all his money away on a hopeless playing staff every transfer window because Nelms is clearly a problem here. Anyone with any business sense must see the problem and its worrying that Keyes can't. 1

A couple of days ago I would have agreed with you but today he was our best midfielder. If they could do a scale for "personal possesion" he would have won hands down today.

At least he was prepared to shoot at goal. Today we have a midfielder Just as keen to have a shot but his accuract is just as bad.

He offers less than nothing as a second striker and in the second half he gave the ball away cheaply at least 6 times playing simple passes. Hes done as a top level footballer and his past exploits don’t change that. 2
