I'm sorry DB we have to disagree here, I always thought the role of the modern manager was to motivate (to make them play harder than the others) not just send them out and see what happens.

When you put it like that it seems so simple.......

If only it was.

How can a manager motivate players who are simply not good enough for this level?

That is the problem Jmac has with this squad. There’s only so much he can do with this group of players.

I'm sorry JK you don't seem to be getting my point,  how bad they are is irrelivant, for me the managers job is to get the best out of them as long as it's the best of their  badness. (I hope you can understand that0.

Maybe he did. We only got beat 2 nil.

Keyes is putting just enough in to keep us on side. Nelms has repeatedly said that the stadium isn't dependent on which league we play in. The Campy land can just as easily be sold, IF they've actually bought it. Nobody, bar FPS and the seller's of the land, knows the terms and condition of the sale. Nobody is giving us their cash for free.

Until I'm sitting in a brand new seat within the confines of Campy Nou I'll take the Americans claims with a pinch of salt. They've done ok but and I'm thankful for their efforts but I'm not convinced that they're in this, long term, for the benefit of DFC.

Fans will only be on side if there are results on the park. When the players don’t perform the off field stuff gets criticised too. If we were sitting top 6 I doubt the questions re FPS motives would be so intense right now.

I’ve always been very sceptical of FPS plans are. I wasn’t convinced the fans should have been handing over their shares to them. To their credit though they have put their hands in their pocket and unless there is evidence that they are running our club into the ground, I’ll back them.

The new stadium was always going to take much much longer than FPS stated. It’s the nature of it. I do think it will eventually happen but if it doesn’t then we are not going to be in a worse position than we were when FPS took over.

Nelms said JM needs to finish 8th to keep his job. That's a laugh. We need at least 12 new players and a miracle to get close to that. New manager in the summer then to prepare for Championship survival. Forget about this new stadium, thats the biggest joke of all.

Where did Nelms say this?

St Mirren Hamilton and Livi not the 3 hardest games at home is it? And a decent defensive display against Rangers if we hadn’t went down to 10 who knows what the score would have been.

McCann and McIntyre one win each this season both as sh**e as each other.

The point was, did the previous manager manage to go four games unbeaten against these not very good teams?

The simple answer is no.

Against a team filled with players who were better than ours, that WAS the best he could get out of them.

That's the point that's being missed. The gulf in class today wasn't just between the two managers, although I won't argue Wright is a superior manager, but that the players he recruited are a million miles better than the ones Neil McCann put at Jim McIntyre's disposal. You can motivate them all day long, but rubbish players will give you rubbish results.

When McIntyre was recruited Nelms stated that he he didn't see just surviving this season as being success. 8th was the completely unrealistic, out of touch target he set his new manager.

Clueless.

I don't think McGowan and Kerr are the problem. Both have great desire and can help us win points but when the team is unbalanced and weak they try to do too much and end up being totally ineffective themselves.

For me your probably right in the first half. In the second half PB would have found it hard to find adjectives to describe it.

Why did you bring me into this?

For the record I saw very little difference between the first half and second half performances and have already fired out several adjectives to describe the abject performance.

Strangely none of the adjectives used, or indeed any post I've ever made, would suggest that I think we should be playing like Real.
