If St Mirren are offering similar money to us then a lot of players would probably choose them as they're on the outskirts of Glasgow and next to an international airport.

I kinda hoped the same thing might happen with Tansey, i.e. McIntyre being the reason for him wanting to come here.

Seeing players we were linked with going to our competitors in the league is a worry, I thought we'd be a shoe-in for Tansey. Also thought we'd have announced a couple of players by now, I hope we weren't in for some of the players who have went elsewhere and are having to move on to plan B, C or D.

Tansey went down with Inverness in 2017 and he's barely played since. Hopefully 2019 will see him add another relegation to his CV.

Seems to be terminology that is commonly used when nobody actually knows for sure as the club don't announce who they are after.

If newspapers or online forums or social media have been talking about a player possibly coming to Dens I'd say that is linking us but I'll just shut ma puss.

Wouldn't think there was any chance of JM bringing him here with the "problems" GT has been dealing with, probably best he gets as far away from Aberdeen as possible and a "fresh start" perhaps (Paisley, fresh start, yeh I know) wish him well though but not against us.

Just remembered Tansey joined County this time last year so he's facing his third successive relegation!

I'm glad we never signed him. Hopefully we don't go for Billy McKay either. The last thing we need is a serial doon-monger.

I'd rather he took his time and got the right guys to be honest. Aye, as a fan it can be a little frustrating but if as it seems he's getting guys in that he's familiar with, the 'bedding in' time should be shorter as they'll know what's required of them.
