I notice Aird has been out of the United squad and people have been speculating over his future. I half wonder if we might be going in for him.

He's got a huge number of assists and a few goals this season. He's a typical Scottish Football type winger with inconsistency etc but when I think of it, I think he'd suit the profile of winger McIntyre is going for. He's unfashionable and a complete a***hole but whenever I've seen him, I've generally been impressed with his work rate and he's got some direct end product.

I do notice United seem to be quite reactionary and doom players to fail who often seem to come back and bite them in the a**e. I know stats aren't the be all end all but it seems utterly bizarre that you've got this player who seems to always get assists and he's frozen out; also after getting player of the month as recently as a few weeks ago.

I'm just thinking that Deacon's performance was alarming in some ways and we might be raiding the bargain bucket.

I wouldn't be against him coming in on a short term deal. Our deliveries from the right have been poor for a while.

I'd be up for this. He is a simple but effective player and offers more than most (in his price bracket) both going forward and doing the dirty stuff.

The guy's not a world beater but he's a step up on what we have IMO.

Deacon seems to have become the new Kevin Holt. Unjust in my opinion.

I hate the scapegoat mentality but I'm not surprised that Deacon is in the frame for it.

Would anyone take Kris Boyd for 5months? I'd take him, its another option from the bench and tbh it means he wouldn't go to St Mirren.

Looking at the squad now we have real competition for most positions

gk - Dieng and parish

right back - Kerr and Horsfield (curran if desperate)

center half - Odea, Innes, kusunga, Jeffries and hadenius

left back - Ralph 😬 Kerr if realllllly desperate

left mid - Dales, possibly deacon and lambert

centre mid - McGowan, woods, hadenius, Moore and possible curran

Right mid - J curran, Horsfield or deacon

up top - Milller, Kallman, nelson and C Curran. Moussa if every other player breaks a leg 🤣

I think it’s clear to see where we could do with strengthening

He was the only player that worked the keeper on Saturday. Also he’s 2 footed, as when he cut inside, and shot just over bar. Dales is promising, but is so 1 footed it’s unbelievable.

Gonna guess at 4 or 5 out- Kamara to Rangers and O'Dea to Partick plus Jeffries, Lambert and possibly Moore out on loan. 3, maybe 4 more incoming. Busy Thursday night.
