If it was possible which of our loan players would you sign on a permanent contract?

For me it would be dieng, McGowan, horsfield, dales, Wright. All of these lads have done well for us.

Pretty much the same. Difficult yet to comment on Robson and OSullivan as only saw them for a short time at Hamilton.

Some very good loan business done either way.

Horsfield has been a great addition. He produced a superb cross against Accies that Nelson should have buried and then later created another clear-cut chance for Gowser. What a difference it makes having quality deliveries from out wide.

Wright is class but I can't see Aberdeen letting him leave.

Dieng looks to be the best keeper we've had in years so be delighted if we could get him signed.

McGowan has done quite well. There were a couple of dodgy moments against Accies. Would like to see more of him.

Dales has shown a lot of intent but his shooting has been woeful. Another I'd like to see more of.

I've no idea if Robson and O'Sullivan are any good.

Too soon to say for Hadenius as well.

I would say dieng and McGowan, dieng has no fear especially with coming out to collect crosses ,which is what wee need in a keeper.Mcgowan is a good classic solid centre half feel conference with him at the back.

I'm wondering that if things fall into place at Aberdeen and they retain their current attacking players and maybe add someone like Hayes whether Wright would slip further down the pecking order and be available for a fee plus a massive sell-on?. (£250-£300k plus 50%). Similar to Nelson where he's seen as a player with great potential but who's maybe not consistent enough to hold down a regular place, especially if the competition increases. GMS, Stewart, McGinn & Hayes (hypothetical) would likely be ahead of him most weeks.

I've been unlucky due to work commitments to have missed our games since the break. Based on TV highlights and match reports I'd say Dieng, Horsfield, McGowan, Dale's and  Wright have been the pick of the loanees so far.

Gonna make Friday though.:excited:

With not attending live games & being more reliant on watching full games & recorded highlights (Deetv & General)

I am probably not seeing the whole picture. However the topc is an interesting one Wattie, and I certainly go along

with the names that have appeared on the previous posts ...  Not wishing to go off-topic, but this season, I find the

names & faces of all DFC players (whether fully signed players, or on loan) just about .... Instantly recognisable at

the start and during the game (Pre JM, at the start of the game & when the game reached the stage of introducing

subs, think even the players, as weel as fans thought..."Wha's he? When did he come on? Whar did he come fae !!"

Appears to me, JM (withoot spending a fortune) is building up more settled & cohesive team. Inc. players on loan :happyyes:

I agree .

I think most have shown enough to suggest they would be valuable additions but don't think we have any chance of landing Wright im afraid , not unless Aberdeen would be interested in a season long loan next season if they feel he wont start most weeks there and they want him to get game time .

Dale looks as though he has plenty ability (ooks as though his shooting is pretty poor though ).

Horsfield looks solid as does Mcgown and I think Dieng would be fantastic signing if we could get him .

Jury is out on the big Swede I though he had a  good first half against Kilie but was poor on Saturday if im being honest but early days !

Over the last few years the likes of saintees and Motherwell have concentrated on British or Irish players and have reaped the benefits. They are used to the fast pace of our football and lifestyle/weather etc. In some cases they are possibly more used to the work ethic of our football.

Under NM teams didn't even have to do anything special, they just had to work harder and we were beaten. Now teams know they are in a battle. Jmc and these players have given me my pride back in DFC.

The work that guys like dales, Curran and Nelson get through must inspire their teammates as it certainly inspires the fans. 💙

Must admit I was worried when I saw JM tell a huge amount of players that they were surplus to requirements then replace a large proportion of them with loans.

No matter what happens though, they have nearly all to man come in and done a better job than who they replaced. And all of them appear to want to play for the shirt. Very few if any are here going through the motions.

I think in hindsight the slow progress of signings in the window after telling a host of players they could go was worth it. We seem to have signed the right player for every weak position and JM now has players he can trust. Whether he has had any watched or trusts the opinion of McCall and Jack Ross remains to be seen but that's what happens when you rely on trusted contacts rather than an agency who have a vested interest in getting these players signed up regardless of ability
