65 minutes in and Barca have again shown up Man City's limitations.  They need to come up with something different in this last 25.  Like you say Messi is different class and Neymar and Suarez are quite decent too.

You can't take away the skills shown...

But what bugs the HELL out of me is that when they are a team of that stature, with players of that skill level, that they STILL try and cheat their way into penalties, etc..

The Barcelona player who FLUNG himself to the ground, and the ref waved play on, and the player almost chased him across the park complaining and (obv) trying to get the penalty/guy booked/send off... when there was NO contact!

You can be the greatest player in the world, but - it seems - you still need to be a cheating bassa...

Its one of the things I hate about football sometimes, the dishonesty. It seems to be accepted by the footballing establishment as well, it really grinds my gears.

Heavy bans should be introduced for diving. I mean like 5/6 games.

Players would soon stop it. Start fining clubs, they would soon tell their players to stop it.

You are right DD, that is the only way to stop diving. Hit the clubs in the pocket with huge fines and ban the player for a good few games. Diving has been going on for as long as I have been watching football and that is a lot of years. Marsh and Lee are a prime example. Our own Riley had form for it. I will always remember him diving at Thistle in the last minute to get a pen which we scored and won the game. I was obviously chuffed we won the game but personally I do not want our players to dive. I would rather win properly without cheating

Both are cheating so should have the same consequences.

What Henry did for France against Ireland was also cheating and led to a goal that basically put Ireland out of a major tournament. He should have got a huge ban and the French fitba association should have been hit with a huge fine
