Morton seem to be making quite obscure signings and going down the Falkirk route of last season. Half fear that they'll go the opposite way though.

He's a really good player IMO. I think they'll struggle to replace him.

United to sign Argentinian left-back Adrian Sporle.

And that's over the line.

Interesting one that, will be very curious to see how that goes. They are quite overloaded with defenders now, need to get a few out I'd imagine. I actually wouldn't mind Watson as a squad filler if they forced him out, very average but is quite consistent and does a job covering across the back. The sort of player you usually end up signing unspectacularly as a backup option but who then ends up really important.

Partick Thistle are the target of a takeover move by a wealthy international consortium that already owns OGC Nice and Barnsley.

Sportsmail understands talks have been ongoing over recent months and there is optimism about a positive conclusion being reached.

Involving Chinese-American billionaire entrepreneur Chien Lee, founder of the NewCity Capital investment firm, the consortium have pinpointed Championship outfit Thistle as the next addition to their growing portfolio of clubs.

United after a keeper and a striker. They already have most of their squad signed up. They do have quite a bit of deadwood though.

On a related subject, I noticed that Mali have two players in their African Nations Cup squad called Adama Traore. On Monday one of them scored and then the second one came off the bench to replace the first one. He scored as well.

I see Soccerway has renamed them Adama Traore I and Adama Traore II just to clear up any confusion.
