On a slightly different note, surely if we can afford may, hemmings isn't that unrealistic?

Don't think the lad has ANY interest in coming back up north never mind to Dundee. If we couldn't get near him in prem, I very much doubt championship football will make him happy. Move on from that one.

Asked the question yesterday why it was taking May this time to make up his mind. Perhaps he's been waiting for a better offer from St Johnstone all along.

Possibly, but definitely worth the ask.

Always thought if St Johnstone were in the frame, they would be his likely destination.

Think it says a lot about the player that the teams battling it out for his signature are Dundee, St Johnstone and St Mirren tbh.

That may be where he needs to be right now. Get career back on track.

St Johnstone chairman Steve Brown admitting that they've already exceeded their 2019/20 budget but are planning on pushing the boat out for May. The fact that weve got cash left in the kitty for a handful of players still might strength our bid.

Who have they bought? Billy Bunter?

We can't lose out to the Farmers even though Stevie May might be a risk :)

If you see it as some kind of p1ssing competition then aye, push the boat out, sign May no matter what the cost, especially as its not coming out of your pocket.

I'd like to see him at Dens but not as a budget buster.

I agree. I'm not that keen on May and don't want it to be a budget buster. That being said we should still easily beat St J.
