Arbroath away - beano on the train with drinks and chips in Arbroath, huge away support.

Raith away hopefully - see above

Arabs in league- derbies and some wins hopefully, cannae beat that.

Pars- decent support at Dens and yet another beano away

Morton/ Ayr - long trips, ones to miss when bad weather and money is tight

Alloa away - decent distance, beano?

Partick- decent support at Dens and always good away trip to Glasgow

So some reasons to be cheerful as we target our return with diggers in the ground up at Campy!

Get these season tickets bought.

Well said on the away games.

I have a soft spot for Port Glasgow for some reason, though, and prefer it to Dunfermline, where we always seemed to lose and not score. Morton looks quite nice on sunny days, not joking either. Gets a bad name.

Partick, Alloa, Raith all good too. Tannadice on the other hand.....

Reminds me of my one & only visit to Cappielow, in the (winter) sun....

1967/68, while 2nd/3rd year at sec. school, along with another couple of pals from the Ferry, we were regular travellers on the DSC bus, from the old club in Stirling Street (now the Taxi Club), up the Hilltown. Woke up to a wild winter morning, few inches of snow....and no snowclearing/salt/grit back then....the Monifieth Rd/Ferry Rd was shiny hard-packed snow, great for sledging, not for buses....which were running very late.

The ancient nr10/11 bus struggled along the Ferry Rd, slithered sideways down the Dock St brae, and got into Shore terrace about the time the DSC bus was due to leave the Club, probably 9:30am. No buses running up any of the hill roads, so we started running, up to the Murraygate, & Wellgate steps....I was fitter than the other guys, so I ran (sliding everywhere) up the Hilltown brae, turned into Stirling St just as the bus was leaving & got them to wait for the other two. Knackered, we probably slept half the torturous 4 hour journey to Glasgow (no motorways then).

We got to a sunny, but pure-white, glistening Greenock about 2:30.....to be told the game was off :explode:

I can't remember the trip back, but it was probably 6-7 hours before I got home. The senior club members would have had their carry-outs stashed for the road back, :drinks: and we probably sang our way through the full club repertoire, a dozen times.

I didnae bother booking to go to the rearranged (midweek) game!

....but I might go back this time, as long as it's no' mid-winter again! :)

We'll have a good few Friday night TV games I reckon.

Friday night at Cappielow - not for me.

I suspect you're right that being a 'big fish' in the Championship we'll have a few friday night games but it will still be better than what we have now I reckon. Mind about half of them will be at Dens.
