Just watched the saints game back and I was very impressed with how well the 2 young lads played. Fin never put a foot wrong and Josh was up and down the park relentlessly.

The good news is there are other talented lads in the wings.

Lyall Cameron looks a real prospect at no 10. George Johnston is a quick, composed left back. Fisher looks good at centre half and Cunningham a decent finisher.

Add to this Moore and Anderson in midfield and the future looks bright.

I don't expect them all to make it but if 3 or 4 do then that would be great.

Was Callum Moore injured last Saturday Wattie?. I was surprised that he wasn't selected. Maybe just a case of giving others a chance though.

Not sure mate.

Great, youth is where our future should lie.

The pass was inch perfect, the control maybe not so.

Definitely not the pass that was at fault, control wasn't too bad either but if the keeper had given O'Dea a shout he'd maybe have done something else with the ball.

I don’t think it was a pass that Fin should have made, but he is young and will learn from it, but Darren really showed his class after the game by saying the pass was fine and it was his own fault and the fact that he never got a shout from anyone! Refused to blame the youngster, which for me is just Darren o Dea all over, a gentleman!💙

Fair enough. Even if he did make a slack pass, it was a dead rubber. Steven Gerrard had a major lapse in arguably the biggest game of his career. These things happen.

Regardless of that, it's great to see a young Dee make the first team and look so comfortable. Hopefully we'll see more of the lad next season.

Folk get upset when "one of our own" Cammy Kerr gets special treatment. What's preferable? A homegrown lad making mistakes while giving his all or six loan players hiding us as we get torn a new hole by Hamillton at Dens. Give me the young lads every time. At least we get the satisfaction of seeing Dundee youths playing for the first team.

Yeah totally Cobra, I was in no way criticising young Fin, thought he had a great game on Saturday and would much rather watch our young lads breaking through and giving 100% than some of the so called “players” we have had the misfortune to have to watch last few seasons.
