Yes perfect. I have said all along that the strategy should be to buy the best Scottish young players, develop them and try and win something before they inevitably move on. Also young players with the right personalities and hunger to succeed.

Fantastic news. Another talented youngster joins the Dee. Left-back position sorted.

....and with a familiar player in front of him, assuming Todd plays left mid/wing.

There seems more of a chess/jigsaw approach to McPake’s teambuilding, than the much criticised ‘tombola’ trend of the previous two.

I suspect Jimmy Nic will also enjoy working with these young-but-experienced players.

I'm liking this signing very much.  4 good signings our of 4 on paper as far as I am concerned and if the Byrne rumours turn out to be true that will another good signing in my book.  In hindsight,  this window so far is everything the last few windows haven't been.  Kudos to the club and manager so far.

I'm loving McPake's signing strategy. These signings have a good mix experience and youth and all come with something to prove as they are making a step up to a bigger club.

Be great if we could somehow keep the new group together for the next 4-5 years and make more of an impression in the top flight and the cups than we've seen in recent years.

Yes but the strategy is no brainer to be honest. It has been obvious for years. Anyway happy with it. Let's get a couple of midfielders and a striker and we are set.

I’m loving the patience and due dillengence Mcpake and Nicholl are showing here, all signings young but also experienced in the championship, teams who get promoted from this league usually have a perfect blend of youth and experience like us with nade, peaso and Beattie in 2014 as the old heads to get you over the line..

Very impressed so far, more of the same please.
