Just been officially sacked by Partick Thistle. No-one seems to know why. Been suspended for over a month as well.

Good LB at this level and was previously the captain of Dunfermline before he was made redundant due to admin.

Obviously depends on what the issue was but worth a look?

ETA:

Here's what PT have to say about the issue/him as a player: Link.

Sacked for taking dietry pills? Dont think so.

But yeah lets sign a professional athlete that takes 'ching' because everyone else does it on a Fri/Sat night, thats my eyes now opened.

Funnily enough when i was a bairn 'ching' was slang for money.

Richie Hart? Derek Lyle?

And there's undoubtedly a great deal more that have done drugs in their time that have done a turn for us.

The guy will have to clean up, and if he's a decent player, then why not?

I'm not saying let's sign him as everyone else does it. I am saying you need your eyes opened to players at the club already signed, doing it.

I'm amazed at the numbers who are partial to it, it does seem to be the drug of choice, I guess because it leaves your system so quickly. Not my bag, I'm a bit of a bluff old fashioned traditionalist, I prefer my mind altering to be done through the medium of loud mouth soup.

The use of performance enhancing drugs deserves a ban. Recreational drugs are mostly no worse than alcohol and tobacco health-wise so I don't think players should written off for indulging in Class As in their spare time. Obviously it looks bad and needs to be discouraged but I don't think players should be seen as untouchable because of it. As an aside, I was recently chatting to a woman who said she was invited back to a party by a couple of very famous Scotland internationalists who played for Aberdeen in the late 1980. She said they were wasted on coke and taking obscene quantities of it openly. Whether it's common among footballers nowadays though I have no idea.
