After Luke Strachan made his Dundee debut yesterday, albeit non competitive, is this the first time 3 generations of the same family have made appearances for us?. I can think of a few 2 generations but can't think of any other 3 generations.

I read an article suggesting that villa and Birmingham were scouting luke a couple of years ago.

I saw that elsewhere mate. Looks to be something a wee bit different, maybe a wee bit unorthodox.

Jocky, sort of? His son-in-law is Ross Jack and then his grandson, Taylor Berry, was on our books (think he played in Mackay's testimonial) but was released recently I think (although not 100% on that?).

Jocky's grandsons Taylor Berry and Jordan Garden were at Dundee. I think you've got the Ross Jack bit wrong though. His footballing son-in-law is Stuart Garden the ex Utd & Notts County keeper.

Ahh is he not related? Not sure why I thought that, I was sure I remember reading it somewhere when we sent a loanee (John Gibson IIRC) to Elgin.

I've edited the above to include more details.

Strachan won the Scottish title with Aberdeen alongside Ian Angus, Willie Falconer, Stewart McKimmie and Jim Leighton. Quite a few former Dees involved in that triumph.
