Apparently some consortium who would profit on the transfer fees.

Pity we didn't actually win anything for all that risk and cash outlay.

Should have at least won a cup before Duffy took over.

Never heard of any consortium paying any wages....

Were they paying all the foreigners wages?

Fan Zhyi De Marchi Nemsadze etc etc etc

So take them away and we still ran up debt of £20m. Stevie Milne and Barry must have been on some wage!

I reckon that BOS were funding us...its well documented. Ask Islay.

Of course they were funding us. I think Stephen Tweed was on £20k a week...

I will rejoin the Happy Clappers' Club soon Chomp. I'm just having my annual whinge about our team not being ready to hit the ground running.

Being probably the top positive poster on here Cobra, you are more than entitled to have the occasional whinge.

However, let's not be too presumptive here. The Happy Clappy Club, may be going through a difficult time recently.

However our standards & selective process are still second to none. It's me & my Committee (voices) who'll decide.

OK, THE VOTE WAS VERY TIGHT ....BUT YIR IN:chaplin:

I think £20 is too much for the Championship. Compared to other forms of entertainment it's poor value.

Vote with your feet mate and don't go. OR.... go all Vietnamese monk and set yourself on fire outside Dens. I suppose you could go for the halfway option and have a dirty protest.

Illuminati perhaps ?? Investing in dodgy Scottish football teams is right up their boulevard.

Surely we should achieve more than that.  Over the road averaged over 5000 last season with virtually nobody bringing a travelling support.

Id expect 3500 to be a normal home turnout for us. Over 4k if in decent form.

United have more fans that show up regularly than us. Though that number is decreasing.

It's as simple as that - years, decades in fact, of declining fortunes  have taken their toll on our fanbase and continues to do so 'till today.

If Campy Nou is only half as good as that I will be delighted.

There would appear to be a recurring theme to the Arabs/Hibees structural developments, with 3 generations of original build + extensions in that glorious 'grandstand' (as with the Jerry Kerr + add-ons), built around the time of our Archibald Leitch designed listed building.

Some interesting wooden wall-supports too....but I wouldn't think that sliding door in the foreground would keep out the hordes of visiting fans.

Ever the practical club, though, a wee wooden 'greenhoose' in the middle, so they could feel at home in among the allotments.  :o

Last time I was truly entertained at Dens was when we were paying guys 10k per week and racking up millions of debt...

If we have 11 guys busting a gut, playing for the jersey with a bit of skill thrown in il happily pay the entry fee.

We have never paid a player £10k a week or anywhere near it. Ivano was tagged in one of the Dundee FB groups a good while ago regarding that time at the club. He musta been on the vino that night cos he divulged loads of behind the scenes info including player wages. If I remember correctly, he said Cannigia was on £3k
