Looking at Saturdays and last nights results I’m beginning to wonder if there are any decent managers left in Scotland.

Lennon, Gerrard and McKinnes all do reasonably well for big fish in a wee pond but as for the rest, they seem ordinary at best.

It seems to me that if something appears in their Largs coaching manuals then it must be adhered to without question.

When things go wrong, most of them seem completely lost, lacking the basic skills to change things on the park.

Have we written off "James" already? ;)

Gedee

I think the club have done very well, taking a young inexperienced manager, Wrapped him in experience (Nicol / Strachan)his stock has increased with the patient approach that he is trying to ensure he gets the right players, will he make mistakes "Hell Yeh"  but i think they will be far less than those made by NM & JM.

Tommy Wright !!!!, FFS he cannae even kick a stationary water bottle bag. 🤣

The problem isn't the managers. The lack of quality players in the stronger teams means that it's much easier these days for hard-working lower league teams can to cause an upset.

The big five clubs can outclass teams from the bottom two divisions but the rest are liable to struggle.

You can't beat a good tomato/long john based story, if oor James is an aficionado then even better. Can't wait for the pre/post match interviews.

Two quotes by Bob Paisley who was one of the greatest managers of all time.  Says it all really.....

"If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later"

"It's not about the long ball or the short ball, it's about the right ball"
