well that was a bump back to earth.. wrong tactics in the first half.. which were thankfully changed at H/T ..perhaps jammy at the pens.. but let's hope that was a bit of a lesson for the management...

Without a doubt.  2nd half showed to me that with the correct set up and correct players we can compete toe to toe with any team in this league.  Plenty of teams will get nothing at Dunfermline.

Positive that JMP knew to change it. Personally, not a fan of three at the back, always feel more comfortable with a back four. Looks like we still need to work more on pace of our play. Other teams always look quicker / stronger than us though to be fair there was more about us in 2nd half. Agree it looks like a long, hard season ahead of us.

give mcpake his due, our previous managers would have still been waiting to make their minds up before making a change to counter dunfermline's tactics.

what a difference a change of formation and a couple of wide players can make. we totally took them out the game in the second have.

having watched the penalties back, i have to say that the ref got both spot on for me.

Perhaps a lesson learned but he saw the weaknesses and made the appropriate changes at HT. credit to the management team for that. In the end we all would have taken a point away to a tough Dunfermline side if we were honest about it.

A game of two half's indeed, a good lot for us all to take in and fair play to JP for changing things, that's a good sign for me that he's not to proud to change his game plan for the good of the team, lady luck shined on us when the hit the bar and got a penalty giving us an opportunity to change things at half time.

Extremely lucky to get a point, first half was as bad as anything in recent times. McPake got it badly wrong with his tactics.

Much improved second half but still not good enough. Need three or four  players to have any chance this season.

Im not sure Nelson is the answer up top from starting position, the keeper is not good enough either.

Dodged a bullet there

Ww got lucky to get two pens there...

Put the 3 at the back in the bin forever

2nd half, by far the better team, looked far fitter and only one team was going to win it..

Not many teams will win there, so a draw not a disaster....

3 points needed next week tho....

and 3/4 players.

Disagree re 3 at the back. What's that logic based on? One bloody game? 3 at the back is an excellent system if the wing backs play their roles properly.
