Killie hit a late leveller against Rangers after Celtic hit 7. Early days but you get the feeling Celtic are going to saunter to 9-in-a-row, which wouldn't be great for Scottish football.

I thought it was interesting that Brendan Rodgers was quite happy to win games 2-0 with Celtic because he had nothing to prove. Everyone knew he was a top class manager so there was little to gain in trying to score 6s and 7s against teams with a fraction of the budget.

Ronny Deila and Neil Lennon know they're second rate though so they look for hammerings at every opportunity to convince themselves and others that they're doing a great job. I'm glad Dundee won't have to face them this season because it's never fun seeing your team get humped.

I'm not sure if the facts stack up on this Cobra, we certainly took a few hidings from Brendan Rodgers' sides IIRC

Celtic's league result against Dundee under Rodgers were...

1-0
2-1
2-1
1-0
2-0
0-0
5-0
3-0

They beat us by an average of 1 goal before the McIntyre era when we resembled a pub team and were breaking records (for the wrong reasons) on a weekly basis. Even in the 5-0 game Celtic totally eased off in 48th minute and showed no desire to add to our misery.

When we were reasonably well-organised and committed Celtic wanted to do just enough to secure the points.

Cheers - I guess I was just recalling the last couple Cobra.
