                      Hamilton

Kerr    Mcghee     Meekings  Marshall

Todd        Ness      Byrne          Mcdaid

            Hemmings Johnson

Squad is nearly there,as that's still Nelson,McGowan,Robertson ,curran etc all missing out.Need a creative midfielder/Wide player, and another 2 1 or 2 additions still I think

We need a good starting 16- the subs coming on last week saved the game. There will be many more times this season we will need match-winners from the bench.

Feel bad leaving Nelson out, as he works so hard and seems like he really wants to do well for us,just think Johnson is the more rounded player.Good problem to have tho

Having a striker on the bench genuinely capable of making an impact when they come on is a must these days and Nelson's energy and tenacity coming into a game later on could be vital for us.

When was the last time we had three strikers to choose from?

I like that starting 11, although its a shame to leave out gowser. Hes a great player to have on from the start.

edit to add, I also like forster so would like to see him on team sheet most weeks

My preferred line up & Formation would be -

Hamilton ( as we have little option just now )

                         Kerr                         McGhee               Forster                      Marshall

                     Todd                   Robertson                    Byrne                       McDaid

                                                             Gowser (OR Nelson/Johnson,)

                                                                          Hemmings

                                                                              OR

Hamilton ( as we have little option just now )

                         Kerr                         McGhee               Forster                      Marshall

                                                     Ness             Robertson               Byrne

                                                                       Gowser

                                                   Johnson           Hemmings

I think we need to stay with a back 4 and unfortunately Meekings would be the one to miss out . The combination of McGhee/Forster looks solid enough although that pairing may change once Davies is fit enough to be challenging .

I would have said Ness would have been our best signing ( Before yesterday ) but I don't see how you can drop young Finn at this stage.

Ive had my doubts up until Friday about the two wide players we signed ,Todd & McDaid , but they turned the match when they came on at Dunfermline and both were impressive  so again they would be unlucky not to start against Ayr .

The biggest dilemma id say will be how to accommodate Gowser in that attacking number 10 role he is playing well in just now  ,and who I think has to start , and at the same time Nelson, Johnson & Hemmings .

We actually have real options now and id say a good solid reliable , consistent keeper and maybe at a push another one midfielder and we are looking really strong .
