At the end of today’s game  I was walking along Sandeman Street very close to Old Glamis Road when I noticed that some halfwit employed by Dundee City Council had put a parking ticket on the front windscreen of a vehicle displaying a Blue Badge. The vehicle which looked like one that would be used to transport a person in a wheelchair was parked on double yellow lines in Sandeman Street across from the area to the rear of the Bobby Cox Stand. This vehicle was not causing an obstruction as there were barriers across this end of Sandeman Street preventing vehicles turning left from Old Glamis Road into Sandeman Street.

Goodness knows who this ‘jobsworth’ Dundee City Council employee is but he should hang his head in shame. His boss should cancel this parking ticket with immediate effect and send a letter of apology to the owner of this vehicle. People have a Blue Badge for a reason even if this Dundee City Council employee is too blind to see it.

Wrong place for this post (although probably well meaning).  Should be on the 'Dundee City Council' or 'Parking' threads.

Two reason's why I locked this Topic:

  • this is a Dundee FC forum and this has nothing to do with Dundee FC
  • maybe you should educate yourself on what a Blue Badge actually entitles the owner, especially when it comes to parking and where they can park and for how long.
