Does anyone posting here know how things are developing at our "Academy" in the Manhattan Works? Is it living up to expectations, are we using it as much as we anticipated, how are the players finding the artificial grass?

I thought that by now the official site may have done an article about it but I've seen nothing to date since the opening.

I believe you can play 5-a-side football on it. Prices are meant to be fairer than Soccerworld and it's not like an igloo either! No idea how Dundee are getting on with it though.

Fantastic facility showcase the street have built and there plans for expansion for other sports are very exciting, Dundee as a city are privileged to have the organisation in the city and I hope the club work well in partnership with them

I spoke to Paul Hartley last night at the Aberdeen Dark Blues 30th anniversary dinner about the facility and he said he it was mainly used by the youngsters as the pitches were too small for the first team. I was hoping he might say something about plans for the south enclosure to include a training facility at the back ,if we ever buy the ground back, but he said redevelopment was not on the agenda as the board were concentrating on improving the squad and consolidating themselves in the top league, plus improving the youth set-up.

It doesn't even have showers which is a pain in the ar** when playing 5s there.
