The Dark Blues head out the cup after a impressive performance that held off Aberdeen until the 91st minute.

A Johnson penalty in the first half gave Dundee the lead and it looked like a cup upset for Aberdeen. However, Considine made it 1 - 1 after made a great save and the pass to Considine hits off his leg and goes into the net for the equaliser.

The game then went into extra time and Cosgrove made it 2 - 1 the Don's in the 103 minute.

I don't think anybody is terribly shocked at what has unfolded.

We've been ahead against Aberdeen in the 89th minute on three occasions in the last 20-odd games over the last decade and each time we've conceded an injury-time equaliser.

But it's ridiculous. Fair play for the performance but 3 mins to go. Come on lads, game management.

Why can other teams, of our level, cause upsets even against Celtic and Rangers but we never ever can? Even despite a completely new team.

Beyond unlucky to lose that.

As nice as a LC qf would have been, can only take positives from that in terms of quality, effort and playing for the jerseys.

That performance, week in week out in the championship with do just dandy.

No regrets today folks; sticks your chests out...on this showing DFC are on their way back.

We won't get that performance in the Championship week in week out. Performance was raised because of the cup.

If you just saw the score and not the game, you would think same old, same old, but this was a great performance that deserved victory. Ness tiring and going off probably changed the game. Robertson also was missed but again he tired. Aberdeen were really lucky to win the game, I believe if we play as we did for 89 minutes we will be back playing them next season

Get Ness fitter then...Fair enough, gave his all but shouldn't be tiring before 90 mins.

I couldn't make it today but from the commentary on the radio Aberdeen don't deserve to still be in the cup.  Dundee were apparently the better side over the whole game.  From the BBC website photo, it also looked like Cosgrove held our defender down when he scored the winning goal.  Was that the case or was it just unfortunate timing on the photo?

Hardly spot on if Nelson played and Hemmings did not make the bench!

JMP confirmed before the game that Hemmings had felt a strain (or knock) at the start of the week. He said he could have played at a push but he was thinking about the 'bigger picture'. (ie The League campaign).

Sounded like Hemmings possibly didn't train for the rest of the week.

The RedTV commentators (I got DeeTV audio first half / RedTV audio second+ET) said they felt it was Dundee's game in the 90 minutes, and that if Dundee had this spirit & workrate last season, Aberdeen would be visiting Dens on league duty as well as LC.

Very positive, but all the more sickening to let them back in it with just seconds to go.
